Guided Tour of Silos and Yecla defile

Benedictine Monastery Santo Domingo de Silos

The Monastery of Santo Domingo de Silos, which was for centuries a stop on the pilgrim way to Santiago de Compostela and is an outstanding sample of the Romanesque Architecture and today inhabited by the Benedictine Monks. The wonder of this place is the Claustro (Cloister) from the XIth century.
It is also possible to hear the famous and wonderful Gregorian Chant, a very unique experience.

La Yecla defile

A magnificent protected nature reserve in the southeast of the province of Burgos, very close to the Monastery of Silos. The spectacular Yecla Gorge can be crossed by footbridges hanging from the wall. They form a narrow, winding pass for the hiker, but it is the only way of seeing the most extensive and best conserved oak woods in the world.
